NorCal's SMT Dummy Load: Tiny to the max

The surface mount 2.2K resistors that combine to produce the 50-ohm load in the NorCal SMT Dummy Load are tiny, compared to the conventional hole-through resistors used in most QRP dummy loads. The builder must use extreme care in aligning and soldering these small components.

Not to worry, however. This kit is a wonderful - and inexpensive - primer to the fascinating world of surface mount technology.
